Echinacea ‘Sombrero Salsa Red’

A softly fragrant, fiery orange-red flower-colored coneflower is noted for its long blooming season from late spring to late summer and sometimes even until frost. The flowers are incredibly large, showy, and vigorous. A great choice for full sun or light shade beds, borders, naturalized areas, meadows, containers and wildflower and pollinator gardens. In addition, this species is drought, deer, heat, poor soil, and humidity tolerant! These plants are great for cut flowers and other arrangements but if left standing, provide unique garden interest and are a source of winter seed for birds.  To encourage blooming cut back spent flower stems, deadhead and/or reduce self seeding.
